Your data
Never sold, never used for ads, and never used to train AI.

Who we are

We're LiquidType. Write to hello@liquidtype.app about anything here.

When you dictate

LiquidType records only from the tap that starts a dictation to the tap that ends it, and the pill on screen shows when it's listening. Then:

Your words may go with a little context that helps tidy them, such as the name of the app you're in, but never anything personal. We don't keep your recordings or your words: they're used to give you the text, and nothing more. If the text can't be typed where you are, it's left on the clipboard for you to paste.

Alibaba Cloud handles the recording in mainland China and, as Chinese law requires, stores the data each request produces (its notice, in Chinese). OpenRouter passes the text for Claude to a company that runs the model, usually Google Cloud, and each handles it under its own policy (OpenRouter's, Google Cloud's), and TypeSafe AI under its own. Any of them may handle your data outside the country you live in. None of them uses your words to train AI models.

What LiquidType may do on your Mac

macOS asks you to let LiquidType use the microphone, to hear you, and Accessibility, to type the text into the app in front and to tell which app that is, or in a browser, which site. To learn the words you correct, it also reads back the text field it typed into. You can take either away in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

On this website

These pages set no cookies, run no analytics and load nothing from other companies' servers. Nothing on them uses your microphone: the dictation on the home page is scripted. If you ask for a beta invite, the email address you give and your browser's language go to Supabase, which also runs LiquidType's sign-in, and are used only to invite you (Supabase's policy). The pages are served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees your IP address and browser in order to deliver them and keep the site safe (Cloudflare's policy).

Your account and payments

You sign in with Google, through Supabase (Supabase's policy). Your account holds the name and email address that come with it, your plan, and how much you've used it. Payments are handled by Creem, which takes your card details (Creem's policy); we never see them.

Your data

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for ads. To ask what we have about you, or to have your account deleted, write to hello@liquidtype.app.

LiquidType isn't meant for children.

Changes

If this policy changes, so will the date at the top.
