1. Install it
Open LiquidType.dmg and drag LiquidType onto Applications.
2. Let it open
LiquidType isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first time you open it, macOS says it can't check it for malicious software. Click Done, open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, click Open Anyway next to LiquidType and enter your Mac's password. You only do this once: updates install from inside LiquidType.
3. Give it what it needs
LiquidType asks for the microphone, to hear you, and for Accessibility, to type into the app you're in: turn LiquidType on under System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility, then quit LiquidType and open it again.
Then, under System Settings › Keyboard, set Press 🌐 key to to Do Nothing, so the fn key is free for dictating. The LiquidType window lists whatever is still missing.
4. Sign in
Sign in with Google. We let people in a few at a time: if LiquidType says you're on the list, it starts working as soon as we've let you in, with 30 days of Max.
5. Dictate
Tap fn and start talking. Tap it again and the text is typed into whatever app you're in; esc cancels. LiquidType lives in the menu bar.
