Terms

The agreement for using LiquidType.

Last updated October 16, 2026

The agreement

These terms are between you and LiquidType ("we"). Using LiquidType, or buying a plan, means you agree to them.

What LiquidType is

LiquidType turns what you say into text and types it into the app you're in. It needs a Mac with Apple Silicon on macOS 26, and an internet connection: the speech recognition and the tidying up happen online.

Plans and payment

Payments are handled by Creem. Monthly and yearly plans renew on their own until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. Where the law gives you more rights than these terms do, you have them.

Your account and your license

A plan belongs to your account, and works on as many of your Macs as you like. Please keep your account to yourself, and don't resell LiquidType, get around its limits or its licensing, or take it apart, except where the law lets you.

What you say is yours

You own what you dictate and the text made from it. You let us, and the services named in the privacy policy, handle it only to turn it into text for you.

Using it well

Don't use LiquidType to break the law, or to record people without their consent. Speech recognition makes mistakes, so read what LiquidType types before you send it, especially in messages, code and commands.

No guarantees

LiquidType relies on other companies' services, and they go down now and then. It's provided as it is: as far as the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, accurate or right for a particular purpose, and we're liable for no more than you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

Changes

We may change LiquidType, and these terms; when the terms change, so does the date at the top. You can stop using LiquidType at any time, and we may end your access if you break these terms.
